Files are where all things work reside in the Workstation dashboard. Quickly see you how you can work your way around files.
Click on the Add new file button on the bottom left of your screen to quickly start a file. Next, choose which workspace you'd like the file to be in. You can also choose to start it in your private workspace. Next, pick a primary view to start the file with. Don't worry, you can add more views to it inside, later.

Whiteboard
Embed
Kanban Board
List
Gantt
Calendar

You can also start a new file while within a workspace. Click on the blue + New button on the right of your screen to start a file in that workspace.
You can rename a file by simply clicking on the name, while inside it. Another way to rename a file is through the File options menu. Choose the Rename file option and make your changes to it.
There are two ways you can delete a file. While within a file, you can click on the File options menu and click on delete. You can also delete a file through a workspace, private, or shared tab. Click on view all files on the sidebar, scroll to the file, click on the horizontal kebab menu on the far right and choose delete.
There are two ways you can archive a file. While within a file, you can click on the File options menu and click on archive. You can also archive a file through a workspace, private, or shared tab. Click on view all files on the sidebar, scroll to the file, click on the horizontal kebab menu on the far right and choose archive.
Choose to move a file from one workspace to the another by finding it in your workspace, private or shared tab. Click on the horizontal kebab menu on the far right against the name of the file and choose Move. Pick the workspace you want the file to be in now.
In your workspace, private or shared tabs, open the All files dropdown. Scroll to Deleted and select it to see all deleted files. Note that deleted files will automatically be binned permanently after 30 days of deleting. You can use the horizontal kebab menu against the file's name to either delete it permanently or restore it.
In your workspace, private or shared tabs, open the All files dropdown. Scroll to Archived and select it to see all archived files. You can use the horizontal kebab menu to unarchive the file you want.
Find your file's version history by using the File options dropdown. See what your document looked like during its last few changes, and restore the one you prefer, at your ease.
Inside your file, you can click on the + View button to bring up options of different views that are open for you to add to it. Choose one or more views and add away. Read more about the different types of views you can add to your Sketchnote file here.
You can delete views through two methods. One, you can simply hover over a view you'd like to delete, choose the horizontal kebab menu and click on delete. Two, you can click on the File options dropdown and choose delete view.
Add custom tags to your file to be able to search for them quickly while you're on your dashboard. Click on the + Add tags button to bring up options that are currently available to use—added by your teammates and you on other files. Or you can simply create another one.
Please note that all tags you create are visible to your teammates in your organization. So choose wisely!
